Whether you are arriving by plane, train or automobile, Frankfurt am Main is one of Europe's most important traffic and transport hubs.
Public transportation is the most efficient and eco-friendly way to reach the Goethe Campus Westend in Frankfurt for the JEMS 2025 congress.
If you travel without your name badge, you must purchase a ticket before entering the transportation vehicle. Your ticket is automatically immediately validated at the time of purchase.
The closest subway station to Goethe Campus Westend is Holzhausenstraße (served by subway lines U1, U2, U3 & U8). Depending on your starting location, you may need to transfer lines. Coming from most locations the transfer station is Hauptwache. The RMV app will provide you with the best route options. Upon exiting the Holzhausenstraße station, follow the exit signs to Campus Westend. The main lecture building (Hörsaalzentrum) on the Goethe Campus Westend is just a short 7-minute walk from the station. The address of the Hörsaalzentrum is:
Theodor-W.-Adorno-Platz 5
60323 Frankfurt am Main
Coming from the airport, you can take the S-Trains to Frankfurt City (S8 & S9 toward Hanau) and switch to the above-described subway lines at Hauptwache.
Frankfurt boasts an extensive and efficient public transportation network, making it easy to navigate the city and its surrounding areas. The system is comprised of the S-Bahn (suburban trains), U-Bahn (subways), trams, and buses. The Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) is the local transportation provider in Frankfurt. We recommend downloading their app for the most accurate and up-to-date travel directions. The app is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
